Dead trees in Bassett Street

Camden Council is spending hundreds of thousands of pounds to plant a few trees in Queen’s Crescent. This is a vanity project. In a cost of living crisis this money can be better deployed.

Meanwhile trees in nearby Bassett Street are dead or dying. They have been like this for the last couple of years but nothing has been done about it by the Council’s Tree Department.

People living in side streets off Queen’s Crescent need trees to help absorb pollution. As traffic in side streets has increased due to the road closure in Queen’s Crescent these trees should be replaced as a priority.

Meanwhile the trees planted in boxes in Queens Crescent have died. What a waste.
